Alt(ernative)folio provides a comprehensive solution to help users effortlessly monitor their net worth across various alternative investments, such as precious metals and cryptocurrencies. The platform offers robust transaction management features, enabling users to effectively track their gains and losses. Even without a purchase history, Altfolio allows users to specify asset quantities and monitor transactions from that point onward.

The "Quick Shift" functionality simplifies the process of converting between cryptocurrencies, eliminating the need for manual fiat amount calculations and catering specifically to ShapeShift users. Additionally, Altfolio offers an "average price" calculation feature for assets, facilitating the tracking of dollar-cost averages over time.

Users can conveniently choose from a range of precious metals, including Gold, Silver, Platinum, and Palladium. A cryptocurrency selector is also available, enabling users to easily search for and select coins by symbol.
